TCL - General thoughts
« on: September 21, 2013, 06:46:22 PM »
Greetings to all member of this forum.

Thats my first post on this forum and sort'of Hi to whole community.

I would like to Thank creators of TCL for providing such a impressive piece of software.
i've been fiddling with TCL for couple days now after years (?) of installing and trying out
different distributions. I adore the way it starts (boots), it's speed, size and purity.
Should I mention how many problems different distributions have with for ex. usb wi-fi dongles
where TCL runs it flawlessly? Trully amazing.

I hope to stay here for a while whilst also hopefully have my input in development/support.

Also I've got question. How TCL is made? I know this is simple question but I'am very interested
in how process of creating TCL from scratch looks like. What tools are used and can it be done based
on pieces of different distributions already there?

The toolchain is built using the methods from linux from scratch - the previous version of tiny core is used to make the new version.

You can look at http://git.tinycorelinux.net to see the various scripts and so on that make up tiny core.
