Fontconfig error
« on: December 09, 2013, 04:32:49 PM »
When I boot Core Linux (4.7.7) I get the message:
"Fontconfig error: cannot load default config file"

Where is this default config file located that does cause this message? I loaded the dejavu fonts extension.

Meanwhile I can answer the question. The default config file is etc/fonts/fonts.conf. This apparently is present in Tinycore but not in Core. So if you load the fontconfig extension it will work with Tinycore but cause the mentioned error message with Core.

Ref: http://www.tinycorelinux.net/5.x/x86/tcz/fontconfig.tcz.list

The first file is /usr/local/etc/fonts/fonts.conf
