htop extensions posted - note that in a terminal window on my machine, the function keys (F1, F2...) do not do anything. However, clicking on the coloured area next to the function key list in the terminal window does work:

i don't know what keymap you use, but i use a us keyboard and i've noticed problems with it that crop up in 2.x. for qemu the workaround is simple. for doxbox, the simplicity is unknown. for us kb users in 1.x both of these issues are irrelevant: 1.x doesn't have the problem. i tried htop (very nice, thanks for compiling it) in 2.x (native) and had the same function key experience you did. i also tried it in qemu (remember: i got keys working in qemu) running 1.x. htop works. i believe if you use it in 1.x you won't have the problem.
