A tcz version has been in the repo since 2009.  It is a good looking and simple to use for both ALSA and OSS.  An SCM version would be a welcome addition.

I built it remotely over ssh from work and will test it when I get in this evening.

Tested with alsa and oss, uploaded.

SamK:
Confirming it works OK with ALSA, as a direct drop in replacement of sgmixer.tcz.  Thanks.
