MOC asking for library
« on: July 21, 2013, 08:33:51 AM »
Hi, linux beginner needing help.
I've got TC running and setup my tce directory. Loaded alsa.tcz, moc.tcz and nano.tcz - nothing else yet.

My immediate objective is to play a radio stream from the command line and moc seems a sensible way to do that.
When I invoke mocp (no arguments) I get an error:
mocp:error while loading shared libraries:libssl.so1.0.0: cannot open shared object file: no such file or directory.

I thought the moc install would have taken care of the libraries, but it seems not.
Can anyone help to move me on?
Thanks.

Thanks, I searched for libssl, but didn't realise it was openssl.
moc is running now.
Still can't play a radio stream with it, format not supported apparently. Maybe I'm not specifying the stream correctly, but I'll explore further. Thanks.

Hi

I have the same problem but I what ever I do it will not all me to play mp3's.
I always get the same problem with plugin.
Code: [Select]
tc@box:~$ mocp -S
Can't load plugin libmp3_decoder: file not found
Running the server...
Trying ALSA...
tc@box:~$

I checked it and I have the library in
Code: [Select]
/usr/local/lib/moc/decoder_plugins/libmp3_decoder.so

Any help will be appreciated.

MOC is a buggy and unmaintained program. No way to add it to the official repo. Use CMUS instead which is in the repo:
