How to get the gma500-poulsbo repo driver working
« on: January 28, 2013, 05:49:19 AM »
Downloaded this from the repos but can't get it to work in the normal way.

lsmod only lists the i2c_i801 driver which the above is dependant on.

Cannot get x working with xorg.conf - only get no driver found error

Any ideas most welcome

A forum search for "poulsbo" would bring up quite a few attempts of other users to make this gfx chip work.
You may want to try if Xfbdev and/or Xvesa&915resolution could work for you before Xorg.

Yeah I realise there were problems  :P
But I didn't see anybody trying this new driver in the repo?
Or am I missing something here

You just seem to be the first one of bringing up the specific driver in this forum ;)

Ignore my ignorance, but is there a reason why the official intel cdv-gfx-drivers-1.0.3_bee.tar.bz2 drivers cannot be used in tiny?
I really don't want to use meego  :'(

Because they are binary drivers only meant for Meego?
