Modules not recognized in /usr/local/lib, seems to be a depmod issue.

Perhaps it needs the patch to follow symlinks?

According to old forum posts yes, x86 depmod is patched, but it is in the base.

Anyhow I do not see any disadvantage mounting in /lib except TC convention of /usr/local/lib

Busybox depmod is in the base, full depmod (with patch) is an extension, no?

I don't use raspberry tc, but it seems like it would be a good idea to continue to follow tc conventions  :)

It was also patched, IIRC. (bb depmod)
