getFlash10.tcz
Jason W:
getFlash10 is now also in tcz format to install deps and flash as tcz:
--- Code: ---Title: getFlash10.tcz
Description: Download - Setup - Create flash10.tce script.
Version: 0.1
Author: roberts
Original-site: http://www.tinycorelinux.com
Copying-policy: GPL
Size: 4.0K
Extension_by: roberts
Comments: Downloads from Adobe.
Extracts linux libflashplayer.so
Setup libflashplayer for either Minefield, Firefox, Opera,
Seamonkey or all four. Also includes compiled libflashsupport.so
for OSS sound. libflashsupport is licensed under Creative
Commons Attribution 3.0.
Finally packages a flash10.tce to add to your tce collection.
.
NOTE: You must have already downloaded the browser and OSS.
You must have started the browser at least once!
You must have OSS started with the sound on menu option.
Then select getFlash9 from the Apps menu.
.
If you already have your tce directory setup, then a flash10.tcz
will be installed there, otherwise it is in /tmp/tce/. flash10.tcz
will be loaded upon completion of the getflash script.
.
CAUTION: Flash10 requires gtk2 which is quite large.

how does getFlash work for me at all? i don't know, but it does! (i know this time i used wget.tce, but it doesn't matter i just tried busybox wget to see if it was different. it says 'bad address' instead of unable to resolve, but same thing.) that there's a tcz version of getFlash10 is so interesting (almost pointless, but cool) i'm going to reboot (cloud mode) now, just to try it and see if it works. i would like to try getFlash9 in 2.x because i think flash10 might be too slow for me... but the tcz is more interesting so i'll do flash10 again.
edit: the amazing 2.x network problem test machine is cleanly booted, busybox wget (no wget.tce installed) is still having problems. i see that getflash uses curl, and wouldn't you know, curl resolves google.com just fine. it seems to download getflash (i see a convincing "[**********************]") but then a message flashes that says "flash10.tcz not found!" or something like that. flash 10 is not installed. usually i would put this in tce bugs, but as you just posted this i replied here. do advise (anyone) if i should use tce bugs in the future for this sort of thing, or i'll just take note if hats moves it there.

I forgot to add cramfs-utils to the dep file, so install that and try again. Dep file has been fixed.

1. usually if i umount and delete an extension, i can then install it again with appbrowser. it's one of the things i like about tcz... but now appbrowser just says "blah blah extension loaded!" and then i run mount- it's NOT loaded or it's not listed.
2. so i did what i had to do, downloaded getFlash10.tcz from a browser and loaded local. this should work. no... not mounted.
3. i figured this was because i used up the loops, (i bet 2.x has more than 1.x) so i unmounted nss-nsp-whatever. i repeated step 2. getFlash is still not mounted! but the loop taken up by nss-nsp-something is free.
4. now i do something i've mentioned doing in the past: fool appbrowser by renaming the extension and loading local. now it's mounted, so you see that really is an issue on occasion, in cloud mode. (but i haven't needed to do this in a long time!) but it still didn't work so i issued:
--- Quote ---tc@box:~$ /tmp/tcloop/getFlash20/usr/local/bin/getflash10.sh
--- End quote ---
that worked.

flash10.tcz is now in /tmp/tce
/tmp/tce/flash10.tcz
flash10.tcz is installed.
and youtube now works. but i can't tell you if your .dep file works or not without rebooting.
Jason W:
Thanks for testing it out, I will try once again also with "tinycore nolocal norestore base" just to make sure.
