[SOLVED] gparted 0.13.1 - broken dependencies?
« on: September 22, 2012, 05:29:52 AM »
hi juanito,

is there something broken with gparted?
i used it successful for some time with tc,
but in the moment it seams to be broken for me.
do you have an idea?
i guess that everything is updated on my system according 4.6.1,
also all packages and their dep-files.

these are the error-messages on the command line:
tc@box:~$ sudo gparted

(process:5714): Gtk-WARNING **: Locale not supported by C library.
        Using the fallback 'C' locale.
======================
libparted : 3.1
======================

(gpartedbin:5714): glibmm-ERROR **:
unhandled exception (type std::exception) in signal handler:
what: locale::facet::_S_create_c_locale name not valid

Trace/breakpoint trap

thank you for your help.

i solved it by changing my locales in ~/.ashrc:

LANG=C;
export LANG

and now it works again.
i recently deleted this entry, because i used the mylocales-script to adjust my locales...

hi juanito,

by the way many different packages didn't mind the lack of my locales-entry...
