I wish I could share the enthusiasm of everyone here for mc but I don't know how to use it

I suspect you would find it well worth the investment to learn to use it... and so would I!    :)

I've been keeping it around for almost two years now and still haven't got around to playing with it at any length.  Hmm... maybe its time to do that right now.

Its official now - mc just bailed me out of a tight spot.  I needed to browse some filesystems on a remote box over ssh.  mc came to the rescue, earning itself a permanent place in my PPR and a higher spot on my go-to list.  I'm sure I'll be discovering new features of it for years.

On a side note, I tried xfe the other day and liked it.  I've always like having the directory tree thingy on the left - and with xfe I can still have two file listing panes.  Not sure if I like it better than emelfm2 or not, but who cares - I can have both.   ;D
