Two tries to connect to network
« on: August 24, 2012, 08:02:35 PM »
Time to ask for help
I have an Aspire one netbook (intel Atom N2600 1 GB DDR3 running TCL 4.5.6). I recently got my wifi working following various solutions gleaned from reading Tiny Core Forums (chipset Broadcom 4313)
But, I need 2 tries to connect to the network. On the first try, I get “No lease - failing - failed to connect” on the second try, it works every time. I tried adding WPA_supplicant and wpa_gui (as per the TCL Wiki site) to see if this would remedy the problem, but no change. Instead the hal daemon loaded automatically and wpa_gui did not.
Has anyone else had this problem? If so can you give me a hint how it might be fixed? It should connect on the first try not the second - it is not a big problem  but I would like to know where to look in order to fix it. Any suggestions would be most welcome.
Many thanks in advance. jackrnm
