Oh wow. After all this time?

Curious too how the old forum was deleted.

Hm, I now see the old forum is archived, not deleted.

DSL is where I first got into Linux as well. Mostly just toying around, but when it (seemingly) died, I was very sad indeed.
Then I found TCL, and I was happy again.

DSL reincarnated? Cool. It's worth to give it a try, well knowing that it has an old kernel.

My first good experience with Linux was Knoppix3.1 (c't), the Grandfather of LiveLinux. I have a huge stack of Knoppix and other LiveLinux CDs I tried since. I was much impressed by the enormous speed and stability of DSL, limited only by incompatibilities of some data formats with MSOffice, and also was sad when it stopped.

Look into the future, but don't forget where you come from

With that analogy, DemoLinux would be the Grand Grandfather then, I guess :P

hi,
trying dsl-4.11.rc1 I was disappointed.

Lenovo R61 working, but no sound, no network; iMac hangup, only DELL Latitude C540 also working, but much slower than with TC.

Sorry.

It's still on the same old kernel, and you have new hw.
