USB Sound Card Support
« on: July 13, 2012, 12:26:10 PM »
I apologize, as I have no clue which forum this question should go in.

Basically I messed up when I chose my new laptop and I would really like to have sound on it.  It has one of the Creative Recon3d cards, which after reading for several hours it is not supported until Kernel 3.5 (which is only at RC6 right now).  I have already tried Alsa and OSS along with Pulse and still I haven't been able to get it working.  I currently have no delusions of grandeur on getting it working.

So my question is;  What would you recommend for a USB sound card?  Basically I just want to listen to music and watch videos.  My goal is for it to be semi-portable, as in I would like to keep it with my laptop.  But the main goal is that  it is compatible with TinyCore (preferably OSS, but I can live with Alsa as well).
