My ACER Aspire has a crystal eye - a common built in camera that doesn't work with Tiny Core's Skype.
(Clicking options - video - no drivers are found - test won't run).

So I began exploration and found the UVCVIDEO Driver is required - known as a Kernel Driver Modules - and it looks pretty hairy to an old dog like me.

dmesg | grep Crystal
blank, nothing displayed on my terminal....

Is this in the realm of an upcoming TC extension or am I (many folks) outta luck for awhile?

My ACER Aspire Crystal Eye cam works with Skype and Linphone.

Install the v4l-dvb extension? It includes uvcvideo.
