Update to latest version

How to update to current version of Tiny Core(4.5.5 to 4.5.6). There are some older post but I think they are outdated.
What I did is I downloaded the latest iso and copied core.gz and and vmlinuz to /mnt/sda1/tce/boot.

Is this correct?

you also need the latest Xprogs .

So run tce-update after booting.

To update to the most current version an easier, faster and with less bandwidth used at ibiblio is to not download the entire .iso for only for updating, but only download the 2 files needed at:

http://distro.ibiblio.org/tinycorelinux/4.x/x86/release/distribution_files/

Hope a mod can fix the nooblink issue.

And yes, download, copy and overwrite the files wherever your TCE/boot directory resides, then app browser->check for updates and reboot.

You do need to read the release notes for the latest version to make sure there isn't some other file(s) you need to modify/delete/update.
