Request SoX
« on: June 08, 2012, 02:52:43 AM »
As mentioned in reply #9 http://forum.tinycorelinux.net/index.php/topic,13382.msg74384.html

If you agree, would you produce SoX with mp3 capability?  The original tcz had this functionality, but when it was upgraded by a second maintainer it was accidentally omitted.

Refreshing this request in the hope it might be more attractive to package as SCM now.

The TCZ version has been updated to include MP3 support:

Approximately five hours after your post I could not find it in http://repo.tinycorelinux.net.  Does it take time to appear in the main repo?

What you looked at is a text file of the directory listing of the repo which only gets updated periodically.

Hi Rich
What I want to do is download it from the main repo http://repo.tinycorelinux.net, via the usual System Tools-->SCM Apps-->Apps-->Cloud-->Browse  but it is not shown as available for download.  That is what prompted my earlier question asking if there is a delay between uploading and it being listed as available.

Normally, probably not. Likely just an oversight, the script to update the list of available extensions was not run.

Just checked the update script had not been run. Now completed.
If you still do not see it then might want to remove /tmp/scmtags.db

Ok, I see I ran the tcz rather than scm update script on the server.

Initial tests of the SoX functions used here show it is working fine.  Once again, thanks.
