WBar animation causes freeze
« on: June 13, 2012, 06:57:08 AM »
Hi Forum

I am setting up a ThinClient to run unaccompanied slide shows and videos. For this I have chosen Tiny Core and I immediately fell in love with it. Using Core2USB I could set up a system on a Compact Flash Card in minutes. It seeems to boot and run alright with one exception: When I move the mouse along the WBar, the entire system freezes in the middle of a screen redraw. Is this a driver issue? How can I find the exact cause of the error?

Thanks for any help, best wishes!

Set up a SSH server (dropbear.tcz), SSH in, and then move the mouse there. Via the SSH shell you can check what kind of lockup it is.

Of course you can also disable wbar with the noicons boot code or by not loading the extension.
The only barriers that can stop you are the ones you create yourself.

Hi curaga

Thanks for your fast reply. I think removing it is my best option, as I don't need an interface in Kisok mode anyway.
Edit: I have moved it to the left side of the screen and this seems to have solved it, too. Very strange.

Again, thanks for your help
