Inconsistencies in SCM files...?

I noticed avidemux.scm has it`s exec. files in it`s root ( no /bin ), I`m guessing SCMs have other inconsistencies also?

If needed I`d like to help fix the existing SCM files and as offered below, perhaps improve SCM files.
I`m not very good at compiling so I need help with the methods if I`m to help making new SCM packages.

I can move the executable to bin/, would be simple.  I am all for a standardized format that makes working with and fixing scm's simple and efficient.
