grub and grub4dos keyboard do not work
« on: April 26, 2012, 11:09:41 AM »
in my laptop fujitsu-siemens.lifebook.s4546
the grub and grub4dos do not work
it boot and then are no way to use keyboard
if timeout 1 is in menu.lst it did boot tiny core

ntldr from ms virus xp same as grldr only
when add more then one option in boot.ini

(when start ubcd from dvd grub4dos and syslinux works)

and of course boot loadrs which works are the
ranish partition manager 2.40 and 2.44
xosl 1.1.5

after bios is fully updated thesame

is there any boot loader which can really works
even the wubildr from ubuntu depends on ntldr

now will try lilo

I need more then one frugal linux installation
on one partition so maybey is there any grldr
for this special keyboard problem
and not installed in master boot record

did forget of this post
enswer for almost all problem with not workinkg keyboard with grub grub4dos
which for me is the best

you get grub.exe which will run from autoexec.bat under special
volume in extended partition it can be 8MB or even 1MB (in most case one cylinder is the best)
which will be run by ranish 2.44 by changing fat16 to any one else byt not ntfs

the dos is DR-DOS in fat16 with IPL created by ranish or even formatted by it
and if you want this volume to be wisible by windows do not change it from fat16 to anything else
I use a copy this partition in logical volume one is fat16 the second is linux ext which is run by rpm

but in any case xosl can run fat16 from any logical volume not changed from fat or ntfs
but for not wasting one record in partition table in mbr I boot xosl by rpm 2.44

and the grub.exe runs exactly like grub4dos
