Cups not accept ppd file
« on: April 24, 2012, 11:17:18 AM »
Hi all. I tried to install ricoh-1018 in CUPS through WEB interface. When Cups ask for ppd file i point it and press "add printer". After then receive message:
Unable to copy interface script - No such file or directory!

I tried do it from win and linux - result is equal.

In error log: CUPS-Add-Modify-Printer server-error-internal-error: Unable to copy interface script - No such file or directory!

About configure: Tiny Core Linux installed on HDD sda1 (ext3). CUPS wersion is 1.4.8. Network work properly. Printers with default CUPS drivers (test on HP DJ-400) work properly.

Where can be a problem????

Maybe you could try looking at the file you're trying to use with a text editor and see if it contains any obvious file/folder names?

I look ppd file, and no found external link, but you right: trouble in incorrect ppd file. I download another ppd file(for epson LX-300   ;D ) and he was normal installed.
All this is very strange because ppd file for Ricoh-1018(original name KC3LCPS.PPD) was downloaded from official Ricoh site (file is included in the PostScript drivers for WinXP)
