Auto start
« on: March 29, 2012, 06:41:50 AM »
Firstly hello everyone, and thanks for making Tiny Core.

I have successfully installed TCL to a VM and also installed xdrdesktop. I would like xdrdesktop to start up when the VM boots up. I have tried editing the innittab but it doesn't seem to be persistent as whenever I restart the VM the changes are lost.

Thanks.

The only barriers that can stop you are the ones you create yourself.

Hi Curaga, I looked at the FAQ but don't notice the "How do I start X apps on boot?" I got distracted by the start up scripts.

Anyway I have done it now, thanks again, I should have read the FAQ more careful  :-[

To start X app make a run script and put it in /home/tc/.X.d , backup and restart
