SliM graphical login manager
« on: May 31, 2009, 03:29:25 PM »
Quote
Title:          slim.tce
Description:    Simple Login Manager
Version:        1.3.1-tc
Author:         Simone Rota and Johannes Winkelmann
Original-site:  http://slim.berlios.de
Copying-policy: GPL
Size:      220K
Extension_by:   Curaga
Comments:       SLiM is a graphical login manager.
-
To use effectively, add a password for your user, and
add /etc/shadow to your backup. If you use another
username than "tc", also add /etc/passwd.
-
      sudo passwd tc
      echo "etc/shadow" >> /opt/.filetool.lst
-
This extension is automagic, ie if it is in your tce
directory along with its dependencies, you will see a
graphical login instead of an autologin.
      *warning* this extension overwrites /root/.profile
Change-log:
Current:        2009/05/31 Original

Included is the default slim theme, screenshot:

For more themes see the SLiM homepage or sites like Gnome-look.

Hmm, I never saw that error when testing. Can you replicate with only Slim and its dependencies?
