Program closed when I return hours later
« on: March 16, 2012, 10:09:03 AM »
I booted tinycore and launched a disk to disk copy with ghost.  Works fine with regular drives.  When I disk copy 1.5 tb drives I find ghost is closed when I return at the expected finish time the next morning.  The program is no longer running, and I see it returned to the desktop and wbar.  Is there a memory leak and if so where is the log of the crash?  I am using nozswap kernel option because ghost won't run otherwise.  When I start ghost I also use nohup to avoid interrupts.  Has anyone else seen a crash for long running apps?

If it crashed, there is a note in dmesg saying so.
The only barriers that can stop you are the ones you create yourself.

If you are using nozswap, I hope you have some real swap.

I will have to check dmesg next week when I retest.  8) Thanks for pointing me to the right file Curaga.  Question for Gerald_Clark:  How can I add swap since the only hdd is being imaged?  Is there another swap for ram different from nozswap that I can use?
