Maybe more specific issues are at play, which I would be glad to help test. Maybe the command line output info may help point it out.

To eliminate hardware as a cause, the following were conducted on a machine on which EasyTAG has been running without a problem in TC3.3
Off topic note:
The list of packages to obtain a working TC is incomplete on
http://distro.ibiblio.org/tinycorelinux/welcome.htmlScreen resolution=800x600
Onboot scm=easyTAG
Onboot tcz=
Xlibs.tcz
Xprogs.tcz
Xvesa.tcz
fltk-1.10.tcz
flwm_topside.tcz
kmaps.tcz
Result:
- None of the previous problems were present
- The easyTAG window was too large to be fully displayed on the screen and could not be resized to fit.
Screen resolution=800x600
Onboot scm=easyTAG
Onboot tcz=
Xlibs.tcz
Xprogs.tcz
Xvesa.tcz
fltk-1.10.tcz
jwm.tcz

Results:
- The previous problems were present
- The easyTAG window was too large to be fully displayed on the screen and could not be resized to fit.
Switched the screen resolution to 1024x768
Preferences-->Browser
Untick=all except
Show subdirectories when selecting a directoryPreferences-->Misc
Untick=
Show log view in main windowThese allowed the easyTAG window to be fully displayed
Switched the screen resolution to 800x600
Results:
- The previous problems were no longer present
Booted on machine with different hardware
Results:
- Identical to those observed immediately above
Booted machine to TC3.3 (Xvesa 800x600 JWM) and started easyTAG to compare against TC4.3.1.
Observed:
- It is not neccessary to specify the above preferences to obtain expected operation
- EasyTAG display fits better on screen irrespective of the preference settings
Tentative conclusion:
At some point between TC3.3 and TC4.3.1 a change has ocurred in the software that handles the video/display and has introduced the detrimental effects.
