MP3Diags
H.Lunke:
MP3Diags (V1.0.10.065) by Marian Ciobanu has been uploaded to the repository.
MP3Diags-doc contains the HTML-documentation for offline reading (file:///usr/local/share/doc/MP3Diags/index.html).
It's a Qt based GUI application that "finds problems in MP3 files and helps the user to fix many of them using included tools. Looks at both the audio part (VBR info, quality, normalization) and the tags containing track information (ID3.) Also includes a tag editor and a file renamer." (http://mp3diags.sourceforge.net/).
Have fun
vinnie:
This is splendid application, it repaired a track that did not come at the end.
Only one problem, if I try to normalize track it performs error:
"Cannot start process. Check that the executable name and the parameters are correct"
Looking at the properties I saw that the program is called mp3gain, i prove to compile from this source: http://sourceforge.net/projects/mp3gain/files/latest/download?source=files
It works fine, If you did not feel like doing the package I can do it, as you prefer (but it would be nice to put it in the dep file of mp3diags after)
Thanks
H.Lunke:
MP3Diags and MP3Gain are not closely coupled, the user selects the normalization tool to use and there are others available - although MP3Gain is preset by MP3Diags.. So I don't think that MP3Gain should be added to MP3Diags' dependencies, any other thoughts on this?
But it would definitely be good to have such an extension, have thought of it as well. Will see if i can make it till the end of the week.
[edit: have just sent 'mp3gain' for submission]
gerald_clark:
I agree. Options should not be deps, but should be noted in the info file.
vinnie:
You are right forma dep and or info. Thank forma submit of mp3 gain! :)
