Fluxbox feature
« on: January 14, 2012, 03:24:05 AM »
You know fluxbox has a fresh appearance, just installed it today and have kept it on for more than a few mins this time.

On the assumption that there is no such thing as a stupid question I'm going to ask this,  am real curious about that little doohickey square deal in the top left corner of each window which grows if you select it,  Anyone knows what it does exactly?

Could it be a pin to keep that window on all workspaces?

if I remember correctly fluxbox has a function to group windows into tabs, I do not remember how

P.s. cit.:"Fluxbox has a slick tabbing mechanism for windows. You can combine multiple windows into one window with tabs across the top by simply middle-clicking the tab of one window (and holding it down) and dragging and dropping on the tab of another window. This is very nice for cleaning up a desktop without exiling applications to other virtual desktops (it has those too). " Work?

Has anybody compiled some dockapps for fluxbox?
I am trying to add some dockapps to slit but I have problems.
I managed (somehow) to compile wmCal and now I have wmCal/bin file. If I run this bin file wmCal appears in slit.
But when I add this to ~/.fluxbox/startup (I call it at the end of .xsession), slit remains hidden.
After that, when I run firefox, for example, slit suddenly appears.
