So, OSS is not adapted to my desktop? (I can hear).
Speaking with skype seems an issue "Problem with Audio Capture" in the skype test menu (skype-oss from this forum).
Setups in ossmix are here  http://imagebin.org/192474
No webcam is started (not enough power for it..).

http://www.opensound.com/wiki/index.php/Building_OSSv4_from_source

The wiki says Geode cpus have the same. I assume vmix uses some 686 float instructions.
edit: Fixed-point would be lower quality, float is the default because of that.

Note that not having vmix doesn't mean no sound, it would mean only one app can use sound at a time.
The only barriers that can stop you are the ones you create yourself.

Hello, I will have still to dig in using this ossrecord.
I made a quick check with skype (testcall). No sucess.
I can hear the testcall dialing.
The test call abort: it seems not to capture any sound.
Here is the screen copy: http://imagebin.org/194156
My OSS settings should be modified? How? (headset connected via 2 connectors into the pci128 card).
Any idea is welcome.
