Specially with release 4.2 3rd party USB installers like Unetbootin or Universal-USB-Installer can't be used as they do not aware TC's special characteristics. Built-in installer requires running TC. If someone is curious enough and can burn a CD, next is installer options, selection right, mode, ... To be honest, my latest tries to install 4.2 on USB with TC's own installer failed.
To overcome these problems and to offer a fast and easy route to get started with (Tiny) Core Linux I wrote a dedicated Windows USB installer,
core2usb.
