In short, the 1.2GHz dual-core ARM still mostly loses to a first-gen single-core Atom. Perf/$ is not yet as good either.

I think the most remarkable thing about the ARM and MIPS architecture is Perf/power and some kind of simplicity. MIPS is just now about to return on low end desktops in Tablet and Netbook form factors

An important thing to note is that they were using the stock Ubuntu 11.10 which is not using all Cortex-A9 features and has always been quite buggy on all my ARM systems because of so much bloated software included in their base install.
IMHO this test doesn't show anything new.

I want armhf tests.
