Gparted alternative?
« on: February 28, 2012, 10:24:40 AM »
Qtparted (@http://qtparted.sourceforge.net/) appears to be pure Qt, so "perhaps" there are fewer dependences.  Arch linux "currently" maintains this project.  My interest in this Parted frontend is I wish to avoid GTK+ when possible in my compilation to keep it lean yet user friendly.

Qt is usually causing more headache than GTK. Also please consider, that there are many GTK based apllications in the repository, therefore chances are high that GTK libs are already loaded, so use of gparted is more economical.

However you are free to submit a Qt version of corse.
