Hi Zhe. Busybox 1.37.0 is still labeled as "unstable" by the busybox developers. TCL17 is using busybox 1.36.1, which is still the latest stable release. Final decision is up to the TCL developers, but my strong preference is to stay on the latest stable version.

Hi , GNUser

I totally agree that prioritizing stability is absolutely the best approach.

However, I noticed that the git branch 1_37_stable is labeled as "stable" and can be checked via the official BusyBox repository at https://git.busybox.net/busybox.

Therefore, I believe BusyBox 1.37.0 should be a stable release now.

Admittedly, this information hasn’t been synced to GitHub yet, and there’s no corresponding update on the official webpage.

Of course, I don’t intend to overstep my bounds—this is just a humble suggestion for consideration.

1.37.0 was marked stable 16months ago, but it was not really that stable.  While git shows commits, The maintainer went quiet on his mailing list, but he is just recently back.  But has not said anything related to the next stable version, or a bugfix 17.1.
