I have noticed the new 4.x Tinycore Linux has "Updated rebuildfstab for better cdrom scanning and to eliminate boot errors". That's  change the cdrom file system from `fstype "/dev/$DEVNAME"` to "auto", anyone can explain this? Why does the cdrom file system detected by "blkid" cause problem such as "boot errors"?

If there is no cd in the drive (or audio cd or blank cd or...) there were several visible read errors from the drive. Although harmless, we'd much prefer not having those. They were also reported by many users just in case they were more severe.
The only barriers that can stop you are the ones you create yourself.
