bashburn - update to 3.1
« on: December 02, 2011, 02:24:23 PM »
hi jason w,

in august bashburn was updated to 3.1_final.
http://bashburn.dose.se/index.php?s=downloads
i guess that you would do us a great favor to update it in the repository.
i think it's a very flexible, advanced tool, but sometimes i have minor problems with audio-cds,
so i hope that perhaps some tiny bugs a fixed.

thank you for your help

I haven't forgot about this, but as I don't use bashburn and it has been so long since I had packaged it, perhaps someone else who uses it would like to give it a go.

If not, I will get to it eventually.

hi jason w,

though i only compiled on debian and various bsds, i have no glue how to compile for tinycore.
my installations were always very lean, but tinycore is so pure, that i need some basic informations,
f.e. what environment do i need or what i should care for a lean, clean package!?
if you want to give me some hints and help, i could give it a try to compile it for the repository.

thanks.

Bashburn is not compiled but just installed with an install.sh.  If I recall there is some editing needed in the files as if you do "install.sh --prefix=/tmp/pkg/usr/local", then you have to remove the /tmp/pkg from the pathnames in the scripts.  I can't remember, but it's something I could do when I get the time to spend with it.

Also, looking at how Arch linux or others package it is often helpful.  Give the install.sh a try and see.

I had looked at this earlier when I was short on time and patience, but Arch's build script is very straightforward, and I will attempt to package this tonight.  I don't really use it, so let me know of any issues or improvements that could be done.
