from 1.4 to 2.0

I want 2 upgrade from 1.4rc1 to 2.0 alpha4, can I use my mydata.tar.gz or has something changed?

Tiny Core 2.0 uses a new separate repository
http://distro.ibiblio.org/pub/linux/distributions/tinycorelinux/2.x/

In your backup mydata.tgz from 1.x would contain /opt/.tcrc which would point to the 1.x repository.
This needs to be changed to point to the 2.x area, i.e.,

Mirror: distro.ibiblio.org/pub/linux/distributions/tinycorelinux/2.x
