file names in updatelist.txt as a reference
« on: December 14, 2011, 12:26:02 AM »
Hi, Robert.
Is it possible to make the file names in "updatelist.txt" as a reference?
Then it will be easier to keep a local copy of the directory "tcz"

I am not sure I understand the purpose of your question. The updatelist.txt  represents the recent 100 updated extensions and such list resides on the server. I don't see much benefit from allowing it to grow unlimited. Means slower processing on server and slower page rendering when queried.

Ok.

From udatelist.txt:

bashburn.tcz
Description:    Text mode CD/DVD burning and audio converting utility.
Current:   2011/12/11 Update to 3.1.0
Uploaded on Sun Dec 11 21:16
.....

And I would like to

<a href="http://distro.ibiblio.org/tinycorelinux/4.x/x86/tcz/bashburn.tcz">bashburn.tcz</a>
Description:    Text mode CD/DVD burning and audio converting utility.
Current:   2011/12/11 Update to 3.1.0
Uploaded on Sun Dec 11 21:16

And rename updatelist.txt to updatelist.html

Then it will be easy to download updated files.

I apologize for my English.  :)

You should really use AppsAudit for updates and AppBrowser for downloading new extensions. Downloading individual files via a web browser does not provide md5sum checking nor any additional files and dependencies that maybe required.
Downloading via web browser causes much extra effort on user. The purpose of the recently updated/new extension list just provides a quick overview of what's available.

Ok. It's right. I'm know about it. But for several reasons I'm do not use them.
Thank you for your answer.
