linphone - update request

hi bmarkus,

linphone is now in version 3.4.3 with lots of improvements.
would you be so kind and update it to the actual version?
i really plan to use linphone extensively with tinycore,
because i want to communicate with friends abroad in the future.
with the actual version in the repository i did not succeed...
does it still work with the actual dependencies?

When I tried to update few weeks ago blocking factor was obsolance of few dependencies.

Do not remember, and unfortunately I have no time to deal with linphone due to day job rush, but it os on my todo list.

Let me know if updated version works for you or not. For video telephony you need Xorg-7.6.tcz installed. It is not in .dep as not required for voice-only operation.

video works just out of the box on differrent kind of hardware...
... and i have no problem to connect and to share webcam-pictures.



my problem is just the normal telephony, the exchange of voice and sound.
i can here my microphone input in my local earphones,
but this input is not transmited by sip.
i guess my trouble is caused by oss and i have to try alsa.
or perhaps i didn´t choose the devices f.e. /dev/dsp0 correctly?

first i will try to config a stable alsa-soundsystem...

Good to hear that video is OK. Lack of sound can be can be either local sound system issue or a codec, codec negotiation too. Check linphone sound input device in preference additionally. BTW, sent a new version with GSM codec added which was missing by accident and present build. Also, SILK codec plugin is submitted.

what sound system do you use?
did you succeed with oss?
i like to keep the system lean and with oss i got the smallest footprint and the highest flexibility on different kind of hardware...
it's the same with xvesa... is there a way to get the video option without xorg?
