Access 3.x repositories from 4.x
« on: November 19, 2011, 04:40:49 AM »
Hi,

I've just uploaded 4.0.2 onto a USB stick, and I need to use this on a Intel Atom processor board with a U15W? graphics chipset.

The drivers for this seem to be in the 3.x repository, but not in the 4.x.

Is there a way to change the default TC repository or to or download the driver from a different source?

Thanks,

spder

Whilst it would be technical possible to download 'FILE' directly via wget http://distro.ibiblio.org/tinycorelinux/3.x/tcz/FILE this is not going to work at all if 'FILE' contains kernel modules (e.g. 'ax25-2.6.33.3-tinycore.tcz').

Therefore I'd like to suggest you let the Core team know which extension you are referring to that still needs to be brought from the TC 3.x repository to the 4.x one (and secure your place in being possibly amongst the first users to test things out).
