LCDproc (LCDd) - please... :) [DONE]
« on: November 05, 2011, 06:43:24 PM »
Hi all,

I know it's not quite cool to have my first post being a request :)

So let me say that I'm astonished how cool this distro is. I'm currently installing and configuring it on a NetVoyager thin client. The boot-time is blazing fast, the responsiveness is great.

My aim is to use it as an audio streaming application - don't want to use a monitor with it, therefore my humble request to create a LCDproc extension (with LCD2USB module especially, but all modules are quite small in size).

I'm kinda surprised noone built it before, since it's such a nifty little app, yet so powerful and useful. Of course I'm thinking of the LCDd server, too.

I'm not that experienced with Linux (well, I can compile apps on "regular" distros, but I'm using TC for like 4hrs now and still getting used to it) to build it myself...

OK, nevermind.

I've packaged lcdproc myself (wasn't that bad, it's quite fun) and submitted it to repository.
