Moving a file to a Mounted Drive

I have a file that i created but I wish to save it to a mounted drive. When I used the mv command my terminal denied it saying that the mounted drive was read only. Is there anyway I can move the file?

If this is an NTFS drive, you need to use the ntfs-3g kit and mount with -t ntfs-3g
