Dual boot Debian

Now I need to install Debian on the same machine that has TinyCore installed on it.  TinyCore has installed SysLinux for the boot manager.  What's the most pain-free method of installing Debian along side TinyCore, such that TinyCore is for the most part untouched?

Easiest?

Save your TC files.
Install Debian.
Put your tcl directory in the Debian root directory, and the TCL boot files in the Debian boot directory.
Add a TCL stanza to Debian's boot loader config file.

Thank you, I came to the same conclusion.  Much easier to shoe-horn TCL into Debian, than the other way around.

I recommend installing debian first and then boot TCL from CD with tinycore tce=sdax home=sdax opt=sdax
Copy the TCL-CD /boot files into Debians /boot
Then make sure that your /home/debian  and /home/tc  is not backed up and restored every time. (pls see /opt/.xfiletool.lst)
Depending on Debians bootloader edit menu.lst or the Grub2 config file.  See WIKI

If you have enought  hd space you might consider a separate partition for TCL r,  and a seperate /boot partition which holds the
debian and TCL boot stuff.

I have no idea whether it helps to specify a swap file.

Yes, I meant tce directory.
You can use the Debian swap partition. If it is a LV then you need to have
lvm onboot, and activate the partition before swapping on it.
