Yes but only superficially. As mentioned in my previous post (reply #13)

In each of the instances where I have seen Gigolo fully working under other distros, GVFS with FUSE support has been used. There may also be other requirements that I am unaware of [1]. Further testing will be possible if/as/when a suitable (possibly differently named) package of GVFS+FUSE becomes available in the repo.
I can envisage this requiring knowledge and experience, hence asking if any of the regular packagers might be interested.
EDIT
Note [1] Possibly GVfs-Backends.
beerstein:
HI:
I installed gigolo and found out it is only 10% what the gigolo in XUBUNTU does.
The gigolo.tcz only has the capability to handle one file format. (UNIX)
Is this the one you are talking about?
The XUBUNTU is probably the same like UBUNTU and would it help to download their
package and re-engineer it for TC? Or is this illegal?
Since UBUNTU and TC have similar "grandfathers" it might work?
What do you think?
Since I do not have gVfs files in my systems I was not able to use the TC gigolo to connect into on of my machines. I am aware that gigolo is not the safest utility on the planet
have a good day
SamK:
If you refer back to reply #10, Juanito did caution that due to a lack of testing facilities it had been posted without testing. As far as I am aware it was built at my request based upon the information available at the home site for Gigolo.
http://www.uvena.de/gigolo/index.html
There it mentions the build and running requirements and also provides links to its parent project, Xfce Goodies. If you consider your suggested course of action worthwhile - have a go. I wish you every success.
beerstein:
thank you for this.
I think I might not be able to do this project all by myself.
I hope to find some help here in the forum.
If someone here is interested, please let me know.
This gigolo thing is really nice.
