Where to put tcz files on my drive.
« on: August 09, 2011, 10:03:56 PM »
Searched forum.

I am booting off a USB Flash drive.  I have graphics problems and I think I need to load the 915 fix at boot time.

Is there somewhere I can place the 915resolution.tcz file on my drive so that TCL will pick it up at boot time?

OR can I boot with the "text" option and load it from the command line?

Thanks!

Thanks Rich.  I fount that one already.

Just in case anyone searches in the future here is what I did to load the 915resolution.tcz file...

1. boot with the "text" boot option.
2. Mount my usb drive
3. tce-load -l ./915resolution.tcz
4. Use the info in the post above to fixup my card.

This fixed my resolution problem but I am still hanging up.  On to that problem...
