Wired PCMCIA card and USB Wireless

I was wondering if anyone has had any luck getting the Belkin N150 USB Wireless Adapter to work as well as the Dynex DX-E202 PCMCIA Network Card.

I have a Xircom PCMCIA that's recognized, but for some reason, all the CAT5 cables I plugin only work for one boot, then cease to stop working. I've done this with four cables, each one same problem, one boot, then dead. Tried different linux versions too, same thing, dead after one boot with the Xircom.
