I refrained from mentioning 'whois' - which would indeed be the appropriate tool for given purpose - simply because it is not included in TC base.

It might be later, busybox has a whois applet now.

FWIW, I would highly recommend HostGator.
We have been using their BabyCroc plan for years and are very happy with their service.
For $10/mo you get unlimited disk space and unlimited bandwidth.

I suppose it's in their TOS somewhere that they can restrict bandwidth in certain extreme cases that they feel are negatively impacting the service for others, but I don't believe you would fall into that category.

So far they have been a great provider - you should give them a try.

Sorry Maluvia but I can't agree with that. I was gravelly disappointed by them and switched hosts in the end as they couldn't provide what I wanted. I am now with IX webhosting and they are much better accommodating to what I need.
