Nice distro
« on: February 25, 2011, 10:37:24 PM »
After some time with experimenting with many linux distros, this is the first one I really connected with.  Fantastic and fun canvas for those of us with strange Luddite-type obsessions.  I will likely attempt a hard drive install after I finish reading the instructions -- which should be some time next year.

DSL is 50megs as an iso, tiny core is a startling 10megs --  what distros are between these amounts?

It's nice to see a concept actually come to life, rather than the usual model of talking about a core concept more than actually making it happen.

DSL includes applications.
Add a few packages to TC and you can build something between 10 and 50 Meg.

Hi prince:
Thje same happemed to me. I used DSL a few years ago and when I discovered TC, I recognized immdiately
what a treasure it is.

Installing to a hard drive is not allways the best thing to do with TC
Botting from CD/DVD and have the extensions on HD, SD or USB stick is probably the fastest
and savest way to run TC.

I am still working on TC booting via my local network and have the extensions on a USB stick.
t(w)o be(ers) or not t(w)o be(ers) that is the question
