[vmware] SATA Support
« on: July 20, 2010, 08:05:59 PM »
Hi all:

I would try to install tc linux, on my vmware, on sata disk. But, when I run cfdisk or fdisk, I can't see any sata disk. I was looking in the forum, and I saw that there aren't sata support in the kernel... Should I recompile the kernel to get sata support?... if the reply is yes, Where can I get the config for the sata support?

Thanks in advance...

PS: Sorry for my english.

Do you mean SCSI? We do have fairly complete sata support.

If on 2.x, use vm-scsi-2.6.29.1.tcz, if on 3.x, scsi-2.6.33.3-tinycore.tcz.
The only barriers that can stop you are the ones you create yourself.

Thanks,

SCSI, not sata. See the scsi extension.
