AppsAudit->Md5Check->Exit Update Mode
did not get changed to "Exit Md5Check".

Well, my local copy works just fine.  ;)

OK. I have reposted 3.4rc2 and sweetened the pot with a couple of new additions

* Updated editor for named new file argument.
* Updated exittc "Exit to prompt" to be PID driven.
* Updated .xsession to add X pid.

Note: You need to update your .xsession file.

Example:
cp /etc/skel/.xsession /home/tc/.xsession

Note: Since a repost has occurred please check your md5s.

This must be a real "magical" change: "Updated tce-load adjustment for spurious message with copy2ram" as I could not detect a change to '/usr/bin/tce-load'

Furthermore I take it that adding 'MANPAGER=...' to  '/etc/skel/.profile' makes a change in the Core system that benefits a specific extension (e.g. 'man.tcz'). In particular it's interesting that the options for 'less' won't work with the BusyBox applet (but should do so for the "full" version of 'less' that 'man.tcz' depends on).

I was just wondering whether pretty much the same could be achieved instead by adding echo "MANPAGER='less -isR'" >> ${HOME}/.ashrc to '/usr/local/tce.installed/man' (i.e. the startup file of 'man.tcz'). If I'm not totally mistaken changes to '~/.profile' would require a fresh login to have an impact on newly started shells (which might be a bit too much to ask for from the average user), whilst changes to '~/.ashrc' should apply to all new shells. It's not a major point, I just wonder to which degree the Core should cater for (optional) extensions or not.

Robert: Could it be that you've changed 'tinycore_3.4rc2.iso' but not 'tinycore_3.4rc2.iso.md5.txt'?

EDIT: Must have been a false report from my RYSNC client (or someone was faster than me). Anyway I'm sorry for the noise.

The "magic" happened in rc1. Posted in change log rc2 better late than never.
