OpenChrome/UniChrome Segmentation Fault
« on: December 25, 2010, 02:59:40 PM »
I have Puppy Linux working on a Via S3G GPU using Xorg/OpenChrome.

When I try TinyCore, TinyCore loads OpenChrome and then immediately loads UniChrome and UniChrome eventually causes a segmentation fault at address (nil).  Even with a minimum xorg.conf just loading openchrome, Tinycore then loads unichrome.

How can I get OpenChrome to run as it does in Puppy Linux?

Thanks

It might help to compare the '/var/log/Xorg*' log file(s) from your Puppy system with those produced on your TC system. I guess the X server will be a different version. If OTOH Puppy uses a '/etc/X11/xorg,conf' configuration file it might be possible to bring this over to TC.
