Remastering w/ copy2fs.flg, copy2fs.lst andonboot.lst
« on: July 03, 2010, 06:34:42 AM »
In a previous thread, it was written
".. the extensions can be loaded to ram either selectively (copy2fs.lst) or all (copy2fs.flg).

When remastering an iso I want a few extensions loaded into ram, so I guess I would
unarchive tinycore.gz once extracted, then extract tinycore.cpio to get at the tinycore filesystem.
I guess I would create a new text file called copy2fs.lst where I would list (one extension name per line) each extension I want loaded into ram when I boot-up tinycore.
Is that correct?

Do I need to alter onboot.lst?
Extract the extension in /tmp/tcloop/usr/local/bin/?
And add a link in /usr/local/bin/<command-name> pointing to /tmp/tcloop/usr/local/bin/<command-name> ?

Do I need to change onboot.lst in any way?

Do I download the extension into /tmp/tce/optional/  and let copy2fs.lst do all the work for me?

I'm starting to get a handle on this distro but some tinycore functions are new to me.

How does onboot.lst work?

Thanks
