27 Km South of Brisbane, Australia.

Quote
I live just 30 miles from the center of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and I get no broadcast televis1on reception at all.  I don't miss it a bit
When I first moved out of home (20 or so years ago) I did not have the money for a TV, and discovered to my amazement, that the radio was a great alternative. And not the commercial stations either, I would put it on classical or jazz instrumental stations and read books about history or some fiction. It was a great and peacful time, then my parents came round to visit + drop off a TV and i've been zombiefied ever since....
I often remember the peace but can't seem to throw the TV out.
i keep tv around only to play console games.

also, in my country there is an ongoing migration to DVB-T broadcasting, and my tv is not capable of that standard. and don't really feel like getting a new tv or a receiver box - problem solves itself ;)

living somewhere in Poland

Tell that guy to turn his radio on next time he visits the west coast of USA.
There is no way to listen to any of the many available FM radio stations with the radio off!!
Satellite radio is for those who don't like variety and the rare blackout
:p

Is there a way to make this thread a sticky? Not being egotistical (much) but I think it would be informative for new users to see the worldwide nature of the TCL community.
